Eagles Athletics
At Saint Teresa School, athletics are a vital part of student life. Rooted in our Catholic values and driven by our Eagle spirit, our program helps students grow through teamwork, dedication, and school pride.
We offer a variety of elementary and middle school sports—from basketball to tennis—as well as flexible athletic clubs that give students more ways to stay active, build skills, and connect with teammates throughout the year. Recent updates like new jerseys, expanded teams, and upgraded coach support show our commitment to a program that continues to grow stronger every season.
With supportive families, passionate coaches, and students who lead with heart, Saint Teresa Athletics is where character takes flight.

All sports at Saint Teresa School are offered through the Catholic Athletic League (CAL), which oversees schedules, divisions, and league play across Rhode Island’s Catholic schools.
REGISTRATION FOR WINTER SPORTS IS NOW CLOSED
REGISTRATION FOR SPRING SOCCER & VOLLEYBALL STARTS IN JANUARY
Coaches & Volunteers Needed!
We are already seeing high interest in Spring Sports, and some programs may require multiple teams. Without enough coaches, we may have to limit participation and move to a first-come, first-served system — something we hope to avoid.
We are currently seeking coaches or assistants for:
- Middle School Co-Ed Volleyball
- Co-Ed Soccer (Grades 4–5)
- Volleyball Club (Grades 4–5)
If you are interested in helping our student-athletes grow, please contact Ms. Bonner ASAP, kbonner@stspawtucket.com.
At STS, all sports are offered through the Catholic Athletic League (CAL) and are open to every student who wishes to participate. Tryouts are not used to cut players—they are held only when needed to determine levels or placement if multiple teams are formed.
Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. If a team reaches its maximum roster size, we will do our best to create a second team, provided that we have enough players and parent volunteers to coach.
Below is a link to an interest form that will be used to help us plan for the Spring 2026 season. Your responses will guide us in determining:
- Confirm which sports have enough athletes
- Decide if multiple teams are needed
- Determine whether additional coaches should be hired

Story
In honor of the 90th anniversary of the Catholic Athletic League, we are taking this time to celebrate extraordinary figures who have aided in making the league what it is today. In conjunction with this historic occasion, we are also seeking funds to establish scholarship and financial aid funds to be able to give back to the league. Funds will also go towards overall growth of the league along with furthering the mission of the Office of Evangelization.
For more information about our inductees and the establishment of the Hall of Fame, please see the following article from the Rhode Island Catholic:
