At St. Teresa School, faith formation is at the heart of our mission to nurture the spiritual, academic, and personal growth of every child. Rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church, we integrate faith into all aspects of our curriculum, helping students deepen their relationship with God through daily prayer, religious education, and active participation in the sacraments. Our students learn to live out the Gospel values of love, service, and compassion, both in their personal lives and as members of the broader community. Through regular Mass, community service projects, and faith-based activities, we strive to develop responsible, compassionate leaders who are grounded in their faith and equipped to make a positive impact on the world
Masses & Prayer
Faith and prayer are integral to daily life at St. Teresa School. Students participate in weekly school-wide Masses, which offer opportunities for communal worship, reflection, and participation in the sacraments. Daily prayer begins each school day, and prayer services throughout the year help deepen our students’ personal relationship with God. By fostering a prayerful environment, we guide our students to grow spiritually and develop a lifelong foundation in faith.
Community Service
In keeping with the teachings of Jesus Christ, we encourage our students to live out their faith through acts of service. Community service is woven into the fabric of our school life, and is now a graduation requirement for middle school students. Students participate in projects that benefit both the local community and global initiatives. From collecting donations for those in need to volunteering at local organizations, our students learn the importance of compassion, charity, and leadership. These opportunities help shape them into conscientious, responsible citizens who are committed to serving others.
Saint Teresa provides opportunity for community service in the following ways:
– Annual Food Drive
– Altar Servers
– Chorus
Faith-Based Activities
Beyond the classroom, students engage in a variety of faith-based activities that foster their spiritual growth. Our students participate in retreats, prayer groups, and seasonal events like Advent and Lent observances, as well as opportunities to celebrate and learn more about the saints and Catholic traditions. These activities offer a dynamic and joyful way for students to experience and express their faith, building a strong sense of community and shared values.
Curriculum
Our academic curriculum adheres to the standards of the Cardinal Newman Society, which emphasizes faithful Catholic education. We integrate Catholic values into every subject, ensuring that our students not only excel academically but also develop a solid moral foundation rooted in the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith. With a focus on both classical education and modern learning methods, we challenge our students to think critically, act ethically, and grow spiritually. By following the Cardinal Newman Society Standards, we are committed to forming students who are well-rounded in their intellectual, moral, and spiritual lives
